Together we can solve hunger in our community

Accountability and responsibility for others starts within, and everyone has a stake in preventing hunger and supporting their local community. The difficulty lies in what action to take for the most benefit. Traditional methods include donation, sponsorship, and volunteering. When an event can wrap all three together and also promote local industry, culture, and music; it becomes magical. People can take part in The Idaho Food and Wine Festival and know that a percentage of every ticket goes to feed the hungry. "I believe that hardworking people in Idaho can make a huge difference in helping The Idaho Foodbank continue to make positive change for those who suffer needlessly," said Mary Hurja, General Manager of Grow Local USA and sponsor for the festival. People will join together in supporting a just cause and have fun at the same time.

Joining helping hands of the public with the initiatives of The Idaho FoodBank benefit both the hungry and passionate alike. Everyone can lend a hand in building a foundation to support local community involvement. “We are pleased to be the beneficiary of the Idaho Food & Wine Festival,” said Jenifer Johnson, Vice President of Development for  The Idaho Foodbank. “This contribution not only provides needed food and fundingbut also raises awareness in our communities. We are very grateful to the Idaho Food & Wine Festival and all those who participated for their generosity and support.”
